BURNHAM-ON-SEA 1st XV return to rugby action this Saturday after their two-week break over the festive period, kicking off their 2017 challenge with a trip to Tiverton.
Burnham, sitting 11th in Western Counties West, will be looking to pull themselves clear of the basement sides, as they are only seven points clear of bottom team Wellington.
Tiverton, for their part, lie one place and five points ahead of their visitors this weekend, having won six games before Christmas to Burnham’s four.
The sides’ previous meeting, at Burnham in September, saw the hosts beaten 18-8.
While their home form had seen an upturn in fortune since then, Burnham are still seeking their first away points of the season.

Burnham’s 2nd XV, who play in Somerset 2 South, are without a league fixture this weekend.
Sitting second in the table, albeit 18 points behind runaway leaders Morganians, they return to action on January 14, at home to North Petherton 2nds.
