TAUNTON Town manager, Leigh Robinson admitted the best team won Monday's play-off final at Banbury United but backed his players to bounce back from the disappointment of missing out on promotion to Southern Premier League.
It's the second successive season that Town have suffered play-off heartbreak and Robinson said a lack of cutting edge played its part in Monday's defeat.
He said: "Naturally we're really disappointed. In cup finals it's all about taking your chances and that was the difference today.
"Banbury had two half chances and scored and we had two good chances which we failed to convert.
"That said, on the day I thought Banbury were marginally the better side; we showed plenty of endeavour but the moments of quality came from them.
"We'll live though, we've improved each season for the last three years and I'm confident we can do the same this summer, and pretty soon start looking forward to next season again."
