TAUNTON Town are steeling themselves for two huge Evo-Stik League games in the next five days starting with the trip to leaders Cinderford Town tonight (Tuesday), kick-off 7.45pm.

Town will have to maintain their excellent away record and pull off what every other side has failed to do this season and win at the Causeway, in order to keep the destiny of the league title in their own hands - whilst Cinderford know that three points for them will see them crowned South and West Division champions.

In the event of a draw, Taunton would need to win at Banbury this coming Saturday and hope that Larkhall can beat Cinderford in the final weekend of fixtures.

Tonight's game is therefore shaping up to be the most important of the season as Town hope to go one better than the 0-0 draw the two sides played out at the Viridor Stadium in October.

Since Cinderford lost two successive games towards the end of March, they have stabilised and are unbeaten in six outings as they look to close in on the title, and Town know they will have to hit peak form to overcome a Foresters side with the meanest defence in the Southern League.

Brett Trowbridge unfortunately picked up an ankle injury during Saturday's game with Marlow and is not fit to play.

However there is better news regarding two other players who both return to the squad. Jamie Short has recovered from illness and striker Lewis Powell, who was withdrawn from the squad to play Marlow as a precaution after feeling a twinge during the warm-up, is also fit for selection.
