Jupiter 50 Team Bath 54

JUPITER slipped to a narrow defeat to Team Bath B on Saturday despite leading at the beginning of the final quarter.

Great attacking play in the circle from Gabby Nardiello (GA) kept Jupiter level with Team Bath B at half time.

Well timed interceptions from Imma Matcham (WD) allowed Jupiter to pull away in the third quarter and gave Jupiter a great boost.

In the final quarter Team Bath B knew they had all the work to do and came out with some great defensive play, forcing Jupiter to make small costly errors throughout the court. Despite some outstanding interceptions and defensive play from player of the match Sammy Kemmish (GD) Jupiter were unable to hold onto their lead in the last few minutes.

Saturn 45 Hovelands 58

SATURN were unable to overturn a 12-goal half time deficit and were beaten 58-45 by Hovelands.

Hovelands came out hard and despite fast drives from Olivia Shorthouse (WA) and some precise shooting from Becky Hooper (GA) Saturn finished the first half trailing 31-19.

Saturn made some changes and started to pull back but the damage from the first half proved difficult to turnaround, finishing the third quarter down 29 goals to 44.

In the final quarter Michelle Stone (WD) pressurised Hovelands attack forcing errors to be made, allowing Emily Rossiter (GD) to get vital tips in the circle.

Despite the hard work, Saturn lost the game.

Neptune 37 Quantock 27

NEPTUNE put in a commanding performance to see off Quantock on Saturday.

Neptune finished the first quarter trailing 7-6, but in the second quarter, player of the match Karis Holleron helped bring the ball down the court and with well-timed passes into the circle.

Neptune opened up a gap to finish the half leading 20-15.

In the third and fourth quarters, defending trio of Emily Rossiter (GD) and Julie McClean (GK) and Darcie Dunn (WD) helped keep Quantock goals to a minimum and Neptune finished the game with a win.
