NORTH Petherton hooker Dan Frost has signed his first professional contract with Bath ahead of the new season.

Frost, 18, represented England under 18s last season having impressed for SGS Filton College in the AASE League - and is one of six youngsters to put pen to paper at Farleigh House.

The hooker has come through the age-group ranks at North Petherton and scored a try for the first XV in their derby defeat to Bridgwater last season.

Bath have since confirmed that Frost will join a loan club for the start of the 2015/16 season.

Bath Rugby's assistant academy manager, George Tavner, said: "We are delighted that these boys have signed with Bath Rugby and look forward to welcoming them into our Senior Academy group as they start pre-season this week.

"All six represented Bath under 18 last season and have graduated from the Junior Academy, and they have benefited from being part of outstanding school and college programmes as well."

"We are very grateful for the work these institutes have put in in developing these players alongside the Bath Rugby Academy.

"They are a talented group with huge potential and we are looking forward to seeing how they develop in the Farleigh environment."
