SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE

Bridgwater Town 3, AFC Totton 1

BRIDGWATER Town put in a clinical performance to power past AFC Totton at Fairfax Park on Saturday.

Dave O’Hare scored twice for the Robins and Joe Bushin once, as they cruised a comfortable home win.

Bushin opened the scoring on 14 minutes, heading home a Tom Knighton free-kick to give Town an early lead.

O’Hare doubled the lead ten minutes later, taking advantage of a defensive lapse to head past Totton keeper Mowthorpe from five yards out.

The visitors went close with a Sherborne free-kick shortly before half-time but John was on hand to save comfortably.

After the break, the visitors dominated the early exchanges and pulled a goal back courtesy of Stuart Mott, who headed home a pinpoint corner at the near post.

But O’Hare restored Town’s twogoal advantage with his 17th goal of the season on 75 minutes, driving a powerful effort past Mowthorpe from just inside the penalty area.

Town ended the game with three points but with injuries to Jack Allward, which saw him leave the game after ten minutes, and to Kyle Tooze, who had to leave the fray with 20 minutes to go.
