ENMORE Park’s Matt Kippen won the Philip Kilgour Scratch Open at The Buckinghamshire Golf Club.

This is the first of the significant scratch opens in the UK amateur calendar.

On the 6800 yard, par 72 course he was 74, 72 to win by two. Each year The Buckinghamshire hosts The Ladies European Tour British masters, and The Open regional qualifying. The CSSS for each round was 76, which means that Matt's handicap is reduced to +2.

Ian Case continued his good from with best of the day 43 points to win Division Two of the Sunday Stableford at Enmore Park.

Chris Willsteed topped Division One with 40 points beating in form Phil Hodge by a point.

The ladies section had a fun nine-hole competition last Wednesday before the serious 18-hole competitions start in the coming weeks.

Fiona Ryan, Christine Hannam and Annette Milroy won with 64 points and runners-up were last week's winner Sue Hales and partners Di Dee and Pat Hill.

The annual Childline Mixed Competition saw a very close, high scoring match with first place going to Pip and Mel Millar and partners Ed and Julie Ingram, scoring a fantastic 92 points.

In second place with 87 points Neil and Shanni Whisler and partners Iain and Rosie Bowdige and in a very close third place with 85 points David and Carol Howe and partners Geoff and Carol Garbett.

The Mail on Sunday Competition saw the Enmore Ladies team of Hannah Grant, Eve Bolton, Pat Rodgers, Shanni Whisler and Anne Weston beat Minehead 4-1.

This year’s Lady Captain, Marilyn Turrell has nominated her charity as the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and the fund raising is off to a great start.

On Friday, March 6 there was a well-attended Fashion Show, and March 11 saw the Lady Captains’ coffee morning following on from a nine-hole competition.

The morning event raised a whopping £500.
