Somerset Two South
Tor 5, Morganians 11
MORGANIANS head coach Shah Seehootoorah praised the efforts of his players after they secured a narrow victory over Tor on Saturday to strengthen their position at the top of the table.
Morgs scored a try and kicked two penalties to seal the win – and Seehootoorah was pleased with their discipline up front.
"This is a great win in very difficult conditions,” he said.
“Our play deserved more reward but handling was difficult in such awful conditions.
“The forwards showed great discipline at the breakdown and our backs made lots of ground with their running."
"This is not an easy place to come and get a result - Tor are a good side without any obvious weaknesses so we're happy with four points."
"If we win our last four games, we get promoted, so it's in our hands and that's a position I'd happily have taken at the start of the season."
Next week Morgs have a well earned week off allowing players to rest, following a brutal 5 week period.
Grimstead powered over from close range to open the scoring, while Mein was successful with two efforts from the kicking tee.
