CHARD Town manager Adam Fricker bemoaned missed chances after his side lost at home to Corsham on Saturday.

He said: “We could have been two or three up in the first 15 minutes.

“I suppose on the plus side we are creating plenty of chances.

“I told the players after the game that if we continue to play as we are we’ll give a side a good hiding before long.”

This Saturday the Robins visit Calne Town for a 3pm kick-off.

They have already won at Calne twice this season – 1-0 in the Les Phillips Cup and 3-1 in the league – but Fricker is expecting a tough match.

He said: “They have a big pitch and are a strong, physical side.

Oscar Latas will return to the squad after missing the Corsham game through illness but Lewis Gillman is a doubt with a groin strain.

While the Robins’ game was given the go-ahead after two inspections the reserves game at Thorver-ton did fall foul of the weather, being called off early on Saturday morning.

This Saturday they visit Hatherleigh Town in the Fresha Devon & Exeter League, Premier Division KO 2.15pm.

Chard Under-18s, who have had their last eight matches postponed, were due to entertain Odd Down last night in the Premier Division of the Somerset Floodlight league.

Next Tuesday (January 27), they are at home to Ashton & Backwell, again in the league, kick-off 7.30pm.
