ILMINSTER Town, who have lost their last four league matches, visit sixth-placed Fry Club tomorrow as they bid to avoid being dragged too deep into the relegation mire.

With four teams due to be relegated from the premier division of the Somerset County league, the Blues find themselves fourth from bottom, albeit with two games in hand over Stockwood Green who sit just above.

Manager Darren Manley is not unduly worried by the situation, and feels he has a good enough squad to be well clear of trouble come the end of the season.

But he conceded: “Obviously its very frustrating. It’s imp-ortant that we try to get at least a point as soon as possible to try to build a little bit of momentum.

“At least we have a full squad at the moment and I’m in the position where I can drop players down to the reserves if they are not performing.”

Ilminster will be missing one player on Saturday after Alex Paul injured a hamstring playing for the reserves.

The Blues were due to be in action against Broad Plain House in Knowle last Saturday but the match was called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

On December 27 Ilminster entertain Cutters Friday.
