THE Rest of the World team continued its domination of the annual match against England at Padbrook Park.
The team, captained by Dean Silversides, beat the England side led by Paul Knight 6.5 to 5.5.
The victory now makes it eight successive wins for the Rest of the World team although most of the matches played in the fourball betterball format were closely contested.
The outstanding result saw Curtis Edwards and Seniors Captain Dave Turner record a 6&5 win over Steve Heath and Tom Evans.
The trophy was presented to the 21 members of the team at the club’s presentation night when Paul Knight was announced as Clubman of the Year.
Knight was awarded the honour in part for his fundraising efforts in the annual Schoolboy Challenge which has raised hundreds of pounds to fund improvements to the course.
Gary Stevenson was presented with the Order of Merit shield. Stevenson won the season long event with victory in the Barry Colbourne Cup.
