Bridgwater Ladies II 1, Taunton Vale IV 5

WITH the largest and strongest squad available all season and looking at recent performances, the team expected to compete closely with Taunton Vale.

In the first 10 minutes, Bridgwater had followed the game plan and scored a tap in following some classic direct hockey, to take the early lead with Kath Briggs scoring.

Taunton Vale went up a gear and used their experience to force the play at Bridgwater.

Despite best efforts Bridgwater girls lost composure and made odd decisions.

This led to Bridgwater putting themselves under more pressure - and Vale capitalised with unmarked attackers able to convert four more.

Players of the match Emma Hill and Bridget Hedaux.
