Calor League South & West

Bridgwater Town 5, Bishop's Cleeve 2

DAVE O'Hare scored twice for Bridgwater Town as they cruised to 5-2 demolition of basement side Bishop's Cleeve on Saturday.

Ollie Chamberlain, Joe Bushin and Dean Griffiths were also on target for the Robins who climb to 11th in Calor League South & West Division.

Bridgwater took the lead with their very first attack as Dave O'Hare fired home following neat work from Ollie Chamberlain.

Chamberlain soon went from provider to scorer to double the Robins' lead before half-time, but Bishop's Cleeve pulled one back shortly before the break through Jack Watts.

The two-goal cushion was restored just minutes into the second-half as Joe Bushin headed home from six yards - and Griffiths made it four on the hour mark, powering into the roof of the net.

O'Hare grabbed his second and Bridgwater's fifth with another neat finish, before Watts ensured Cleeve would have the final say with his second in the dying minutes.

Bridgwater travel to Wantage Town this weekend, who are 20th in the table, before hosting second-placed Merthyr Town on Tuesday evening.
