NEIL Forward and Kelvin Woodgate posted 39 stableford points to win the second qualifying event for the men's Winter Foursomes at Tiverton on Saturday.

Mark Davitt and Les Christiansen scored 38 to come second on a countback from Les Hartley and Roger Fetherston.

Also progressing to the knock-out stages were John Court and Danny McArdle (37), Gary Taylor and Kim Garnsworthy (37), Phil Moulding and Alby Cruse (37), Tony Orford and Steve Hill (37) and Shaun Vickery and Robert Mugford (36).

Gary Taylor carded an excellent nett 55 to win the men's Penny Eclectic.

Entrants hand in up to five cards during September and October and their best score on each hole counts towards the total.

Harry Brown won the men's Order of Merit for 2014 after narrowly beating Harry Konig and Bradley Scott to top spot.

Lesley Crossley posted 34 points to win the ladies’ November Stableford.

The 18-handicapper topped the Silver Division ahead of Alison Hilton (32) and Maureen Postles (32). Xanda Vass claimed the Bronze Division prize with 32, beating Chris Williams (31) and Julie Hasell (31).

In the nine-hole competition, Teresa Birchmore scored 16, one better than Kay Leach.

Wendy Frost, Julie Hasell and Sarah Lockwood compiled 40 points over 11 holes to win the ladies’ progressive stableford competition on Wednesday.

Chris Bacon, Ann Fielding and Mary Tancock scored 38 to come second on a countback from Jo Lloyd-Davies, Trish Bending and Lesley Crossley.

Ray Robinson carded 39 stableford points to win the second Duckworth Salver qualifying competition for veterans on Tuesday.
