WEDMORE have slipped off the pace in Division 3 of the Weston and District League following a 5-3 defeat at second-place Nailsea United Colts on Saturday.
They are now six points adrift of Colts, who are second on goal difference, but do have a game in hand.
Wedmore entertain leaders Wrington Red Hill Res on Saturday.
In Division 1, Berrow Reserves slumped to their fourth defeat of the season in a 4-1 reverse at fellow strugglers Congresbury – and Hutton picked up a 2-1 win at Draycott.
Berrow are at home to third-placed Draycott on Saturday, while Hutton travel to Portishead.
Burnham United A were unlucky not to take anything from their 3-2 defeat against Churchill Club 70 Reserves in Division 2 and remain third from bottom – while, in Division 4, Hutton Reserves took a share of the spoils in a 3-3 draw with Kewstoke Lions Reserves.
Wedmore Reserves picked up their third league victory of the season in Division Five, with a 4-2 win at home to Congresbury A.
Berrow Reserves host Draycott this weekend, while Burnham United A travel to Locking Park.
Wedmore host Wrington Redhill Reserves in Division Three while their Reserves travel to Axbridge Town Reserves.
