TAUNTON Titans will be going all out for their first victory at the Davey Field tomorrow when they visit Shelford near Cambridge.

Shelford are one of the sides in National league 2 (South) league that have a reputation for being tough to beat on their own patch – as the Titans have discovered that to their cost.

Forwards coach Chris Brown said: “From our victory over Redruth last weekend there are many things to work on ahead of this visit where we know we will have to raise our game.

“That said, the squad have worked very hard in training this week and we are feeling in good shape.

“The players are champing at the bit to get back out on the park and improve on last week’s performance as they all know they will have to be at their best to get anything out of Shelford.”

After a tough home game last weekend there are a few doubts over some of the knocks with powerful winger Jack Claydon the main concern as he came off the pitch after only seven minutes.

However with Tom Popham having a good game when he came on, as well as the centre pairing of Freddie Fraser and Nick Mason who can both cover the wing, there are plenty of options.

With a lot of the long-term injuries starting to hit the training pitch again in the likes of Brett Harvey, Joey Bartlett and Mark Schofield, as well as the return to training of Charlie Walker-Blair, selection in the coming weeks with some big games coming up will start to get tricky for the coaches.
