TAUNTON Titans look to get back to winning ways when they entertain Redruth at Hyde Park today (3pm).

The Titans suffered a minor setback last weekend when they lost 34-20 at Bishop’s Stortford.

But they get a chance to get that defeat out of their system in front of a home crowd which has been treated to some excellent rugby so far this season.

Over the last couple of seasons Titans and Redruth have produced some outstanding games with lots of points scored – and this weekend looks like it will be the same.

Redruth have won three from six games this season but the three they have lost have all been within seven points.

This will mean that the Titans will have to play for the full 80 minutes to get anything out of this game.

Chris Brown, the Titans forward coach who has pitted his wits against Redruth for many years as a coach, knows them well from his days at Launceston.

He said: “We know that whatever team Redruth produce on the day they will be hard, physical and direct.

“Up front they will as always be tenacious in defence and attack and will concede nothing so our forwards will have to produce a top performance if we are to compete with them and produce the ball that has seen us reap the rewards so far this season.”

With a few bumps and bruises from last weekend selection will be left until the last minute but Taunton are boosted by the return of Marshall Cormack from the Four Nations Maritime Cup in New Zealand.

Also back in contention for selection will be Ben King and Paul Davis.
