PAVEL Augustynik of Hamilton Green ABC travelled to Guernsey to box for Western counties.
The regional coach gave Augustynik the honour of being team captain.
The Taunton middleweight was to face experienced elite boxer James Wollonough, ranked in the top ten in Britain.
In front of 600 Guernsey fans both boxers came out exchanging punches but Augustynik was connecting with the better shots, rocking Wollonough on several occasions.
The second round saw Wollonough staying close to Augustunik and working on the inside.
The final round saw both boxers trading punces toe-to-toe , much to the delight of the fans.
The judges made Wollonough the winner by a close split decision.
However the bout was announced as fight of the night and Augustynik was presented with a special trophy.
