JUNIOR member Tom Sloman shot two rounds of 67 (a four under par 134) to win the PEG Smith Trophy, a 36 hole Somerset Golf Union Order of Merit competition at Taunton and Pickeridge.
The 18-year-old, a 2 handicapper, is the current course record holder and was five shots ahead of second placed Will Poole who finished with 139.
Matt Kippen was third with 145, while Robert Parker claimed fourth on countback ahead of James Popham after both scored 146.
The Senior Ladies October Trophy is a 15-hole Stableford competition for our lady members aged 70+ and this year's competition was played recently in typical autumnal weather, short showers interrupting the sunshine.
At the end of an enjoyable game the October Trophy was won by Anna Rees with 32 points, four ahead of Vicky Davies while Mary Perrett was third with 25.
n Taunton and Pickeridge A team who won the Division One Cup earlier in the season, were the outright winners of the Champion of Champions Finals Day at Mendip Spring Golf Club, when they finished five shots clear of their nearest competitors.
