HOLYROOD Academy welcomed 27 girls for a primary schools football tournament last Tuesday.
Despite showery conditions the teams adapted well to the big pitches and showed good progress throughout the competition.
Tatworth were crowned champions and will now go on to represent the Holyrood Cluster in the south Somerset district finals.
Primary Schools Sports Co-ordinator, Jason Hedaux, said: “I was pleased we were able to host this first-ever competition event held solely for girls attending our primary feeder schools.
“I was also very proud of the support from Holyrood’s 6th form girls who assisted in refereeing the matches.”
