TAUNTON and Pickeridge Ladies missed out on retaining the Rogers Cup – a county competition – by the narrowest of margins.

In the final that was played on a neutral course at Weston-super-Mare the T&P team lost out to Lansdown GC Ladies by four matches to three, so the cup will reside at a new home for a year.

In the Bronze Division it was Liz Stevens with 37 points who stole the honours. Vicky Davies was second on countback from Senga Westwater after both scored 35 while Theresa Dowsett was fourth with 33.

Twos were recorded during the round by Jean Kennedy and Anna Rees.

After countback it was 16- year-old junior captain Kobe Adams who was the winner just ahead of his uncle, Graham Adams, with Jason Brock third.

In Division Two it was Ian Thresher who was the winner with 38 points, four ahead of Andy Gottieb with 34, with Glenn Brooks third on 32.
