Somerset County Division Two West
Highbridge Town 2, Clevedon United Reserves 2
HIGHBRIDGE Town maintained their unbeaten record in the Somerset County League with a 2-2 draw at home to Clevedon United Reserves.
Ryan Elliott’s 87th minute equaliser secured a point for Town, who were forced to play the final half an hour with ten man after Chris Taylor was sent-off for an off the ball incident.
Kane Powell had earlier fired Highbridge into a 1-0 lead shortly before half-time, but United hit back early in the second half.
The visitors then took the lead five minutes after Taylor’s dismissal, but Elliott popped up in the dying minutes to ensure a share of the spoils for the home side.
Highbridge, now eighth in the division, travel to Combe St Nicholas next Saturday (September 6) before a cup trip to Cutters Friday the following weekend.
