BRIDGWATER & Albion youth rugby chairman David Pomeroy is hoping for an influx of young talent at the club’s youth registration day this Sunday.
The club is supported by the RFU under the Club Accreditation programme, and using the RFU’s five core values – teamwork, discipline, respect, enjoyment and sportsmanship – Pomeroy hopes to develop a batch of talented players to take the club forward.
He said: “Rugby’s the fastest growing major sport in the country, attracting more people than ever as players, volunteers and supporters.
"Bridgwater & Albion are working hard to develop rugby in the community and as a result we work very closely with the RFU.
"We offer a great way for children to enjoy sport in a safe and friendly environment. Every coach at the club follows the RFU’s Coach Development Programmes and attends a ‘Rugby Ready’ course as a minimum."
Players from under seven (school years one and two) through to under 16 (year 11) are welcome in the club’s junior section, and the registration/training day runs from 10am to 2pm.
