THE Avenue Tennis Club hosted a charity tennis event on Saturday.
The TennisVets Society returned to the Avenue Tennis Club for the fourth year running to hold a mixed-doubles tournament.
The Society, which was formed in 2009, organises tennis tournaments at various tennis clubs in the South West and has raised over £5,000 for local charities since it began.
The tournament at The Avenue was very successful with ten couples taking part and £120 was raised for the Beating Bowel Cancer charity.
Tournament organiser Steve Wells said: “We are very grateful to The Avenue for making us so welcome once again.
“The facilities are great, everyone participating enjoyed it, and we will certainly be coming again next year”.
