ENMORE Park men overcame a strong Taunton and Pickeridge side last Saturday in a hardfought contest.

With the match finely balanced at 2.5 points each, everything depended on the final game in which Keith Wilson and Doug Read came out on top over former captains Martin Rotheram and Dave Powell by 4&3.

In the other games, captainelect Nigel Musgrave-Brown and partner Phil Parker conceded their game on the 17th after a late run from opponents Ian Robertson and Mike Fudge while Chris Marsh and Andy Criddle for Enmore Park went to the 18th before losing one down.

Howard Neal and Pete Clarke halved their match – while both the remaining matches were won 3&2 by Enmore Park stalwarts Paddy Maclennan with partner Derek Kelly and Rob Loder with Paul Henson.

Kieran Windsor shot a great round of 41 points to claim Division One stableford, ahead of Derek Bremner and Iain Stewart in second and third places, respectively.

Division Two was won by Steve Rolph, with Wayne Edmondson in second and Tim Ramsay in third.

Forty-one points was also the score that saw Peter Valders take top spot in Division Three, ahead of Daniel Markland in second and Richard Close in third.
