THE Top Togs evening league produced an exciting finale when Martock beat Ilminster by just three runs in the cup final last Friday.
In a match held at Chard CC, Martock batted first and made 101-8 before Ilminster replied with 98-7.
Umpires Bruce Crabb and Geoff Foulerton voted Chris Saunders of Martock as man of the match for his performance with both bat and ball.
The final was followed by the league’s presentation evening when Royal Oak were acknowledged as Division 1 winners with 3C’s runners-up.
The Division 2 winners were Hardington and West Coker with Stockland & Yarcombe runners-up.
The winners of Ton cricket bats for most league runs were Scott Wells-Burr in Division 1 and James Mitcham in Division 2.
The bowling award went to Kev Harris of South Petherton.
Secretary Terry Sterland said: “The league are very grateful to Top Togs for their sponsorship which they have agreed to continue in 2015.
