Scheme aims to attract more girls to football

First published in Sport

SOMERSET Football Association’s pilot scheme aimed at attracting more girls into the local game looks set to truly take off.

Women and girls development officer, Aaron Clements, has been visiting popular groups such as Rainbows, Brownies and Guides offering them fun football activities free of charge.

Now similar taster sessions are being planned throughout July for other girl groups around Somerset, and Aaron is eager to hear from anyone keen to book a visit from him.

Any organisation wishing to take advantage of the free football sessions can contact Aaron at aaron.clements@somersetfa.com or by calling him on 01458-832359 (select option 3).
