WEPL Bristol & Somerset Second XI
Wembdon II 107 lost Old Bristolians Westbury 212 by 105 runs
WEMBDON II collapsed to 107 all out to crash to a heavy 15-run defeat at Old Bristolians Westbury on Saturday.
Only Liam Pigden (26), Jordan Rawles (19) and Will Pope (22no) made it into double figures for Wembdon, who fell well short of the 212 OBWs had earlier posted.
Veteran spinner Phil Thorn did the damage for OBWs with 4-28, while Jake Probert (3-20) and Tom Barrington (2-31) also chipped in.
For Wembdon, Kieran Cosens was the pick of the bowlers with 3-24 - and Phil Curd returned 2-28 as OBWs were bowled out with one ball of the 45 overs remaining.
But the Wembdon chase never really got going and they were dismissed inside 27 overs.
