Burnham II 160 lost to|Taunton Deane Crusaders 165-6 by four wickets

A HALF-CENTURY from Pete Gaylard wasn’t enough for Burnham on Saturday.

Gaylard hit 54 to help Burnham to 160 all out, supported by S. Shannugam (26) and L. Coles (27).
J. Ponte (3-40) and P. Batstone (3-26) were the pick of the Deane bowlers as a lower middle order collapse saw Burnham bowled out inside 45 overs.

In reply, Cain Harding (1-29) made an early breakthrough, removing H. Smith without scoring, but 55 from J. Harris, 31 from S. Akhtar and an unbeaten 33 from S. Witt condemned Burnham to their second defeat of the season.
