Burnham II 123 lost to Winscombe 127-3 by seven wickets

BURNHAM II suffered their fourth defeat of the season on Saturday as they went down by seven wickets to league leaders Winscombe in Division Seven of the Somerset Cricket League.

The visitors were bowled out for 123 inside 35 overs, despite notable contributions from Pete Gaylard (43) and L Coles (45) - G Batt (11) was the only other player to make double figures.

S Shannugam (3-27) led the way with the ball for Burnham, but his efforts were in vain as Winscombe crossed the line in 22 overs.

G Coe (41no) and S Bawden (26no) did the damage for the hosts, who record their fifth win of the season.

Burnham travel to Glastonbury Lambs this weekend, before hosting Chard A the following Saturday.
