A NEW six-a-side community football league will kick off at Bishop Fox’s School on their new artificial surface on Monday, July 7 and organisers are appealing for teams to register ahead of the big kick-off.

The 14-week summer season will run every Monday evening between 7pm and 9pm.

Games will last for 40 minutes at a cost of £4 per player.

There is space available for up to 12 teams to take part.

League manager, Connor Lawson, said: “This is going to be a wonderful league in Taunton – it is exciting times.

“All equipment is provided and I will be writing weekly match reports with scorers’ names and will also be including comments from team captains which will help to give a really professional feel to the league.”

The league is FA- affiliated with qualified referees officiating all matches.

There is no entry or registration fee to the league and teams are able to use flexible squads.

Soccersixes are the largest network of FA- affiliated six-a-side leagues with more than 30,000 players playing weekly a soccersixes league across the uk.

The national six-a-side cup is held every July at the London Soccerdome and the top two teams from the league will qualify.
