College Match

Bridgwater College 81, St Brendan’s 44

TEAM BC basketball finished the season on a high after winning their final match with their highest score of the season, 21 points better than their last performance against St Brendan’s.

Most Valued Player for the game Liam Vickery kept a cool head and finished strong at the basket while Konstantin Lukjanec scored from range.

The team are looking forward to next year and putting in place systems to develop even more and compete in what is going to be a very challenging league.

This was also captain Jack Roberts’ last game for the College and his contribution to the basketball programme over the last three years has been outstanding.

Richard Anderson, coach said: “Jack will be missed next year and we’ll be looking for someone to step up and fill his shoes.

“The team has improved massively throughout the season and every player contributed to the win.”

The Team BC Elite Basketball play their home matches on Wednesday afternoons at Bridgwater College sports hall with tip-off at 2pm.
