VIRTUALLY the entire local cricket programme was wiped out by rain yesterday.
All the matches in the West of England Premier league and the West Somerset league were cancelled with play only possible in two matches in the Shrubbery Hotel Somerset league.
Ashbrittle managed to get under way in Division 1 but rain called a halt after their hosts, Middlezoy, had reached 137-6 in 35 overs. R Hill took 3-39 in nine and L Williams 2-12 in nine.
