Mixed Hockey
Truro College 4, Bridgwater College 3
THE Team BC mixed hockey squad recently travelled to Truro for a fixture against Truro College and, despite the long journey, took to the pitch with energy and enthusiasm.
Against the run of play, Truro stole an early breakaway goal but Team BC responded quickly with a goal from Will Osmond who caused problems for the Truro defence with his speed and stick skills.
Team BC dominated the first half; two further goals followed within minutes of each other – a penalty corner strike from Liam Hedaux and a cross goal strike from Osmond.
Truro changed their defensive line-up in the second half to frustrate many of the Team BC attacks. As Team BC pressed forward they were more vulnerable at the back and Truro pulled back two goals. Team BC had plenty of chances but could not convert.
With minutes to go, Truro scored a fourth to give them victory.
