MORE than 200 people took part in the lung-busting Burnham Super Sprint Triathlon on Sunday.
With a record number of participants, the event saw adults tackle a 250m swim, 10km bike ride and 2.5km road run – while younger athletes took on a shorter course.
The blustery weather conditions did little to deter the participants, which was organised by Burnham-on- Sea Swim and Sports Academy.
Jack Plummer was the first person across the finish line, in a time of 29:49 – while Eli Gibney crossed in second place in 30:47.
Elliot Lassiter was the first junior to the finish (31:17), with Elisabeth Hood taking the women’s title (31:43) – Maia Hawkins was the second female across the line (34:19).
