BERROW Junior LFC received a visit from Welsh international Tash Harding, who represents Bristol Academy in the Women’s Super League, as she took a training session for 24 girls.

Tash took the girls through many drills with the help of coaches Sharon, Kerry, Stuart and Dean.

Even with the rain all the girls enjoyed the chance to train with Tash and listen to her experiences of the game.

The coaches are arranging for the squad to watch Tash in action with Bristol Academy in the next few months.

Tash said at the end of the session: “I loved it. I love seeing how grass roots football is developing, especially girls’ football, and what I saw was the best.

“I’m sure more and more girls will attend, and the future’s looking great for the club.

“It’s not just coaching for me – it’s trying to inspire girls to achieve things they think are impossible, but with the help of Berrow’s coaches it will happen quicker.”

If your daughter is interesting in trying football call Dean on 07764-305945.

Training is for girls aged six to 16 every Friday from 7.30pm to 8.30pm on the King Alfred School astro-turf – see www.berrowjfc.co.uk
