Taunton and District Football League round-up - Perry fires Blues into final

THE Taunton & District Saturday league has reached crunch time.
Sampford Blues booked their place in the final of the Rowbarton Cup with a 5-1 victory over Blagdon Hill.
Luke Perry scored four of his side’s goals.
Division 3 high-flyers The Gallery were 4-2 winners in their Seward Cup semi-final against Ash Rangers.
Division 1 leaders Highbridge maintain their position after a 4-1 away win at Alcombe Rovers.
Second placed Bridgwater Sports didn’t play as their opponents, Hamilton Hawks, could not raise a side and have had three points deducted.
Porlock, in third, came back from two down at Staplegrove Reserves to earn a point.
Locomotives have a game in hand and continue to harbour ambitions of retaining their championship with a 3-1 away win at Middlezoy Rovers Res.
There were eight goals at Bishops Lydeard as the home side drew with North Petherton.
In Division 2, Appletree Tone Youth came unstuck at home to Stogursey as they surrendered a 3-1 lead to go down 4-3.
Wembdon, in second, have closed the gap after a 2-1 home win over Nether Stowey.
Wembdon took the lead through a strike from the edge of the area by Si Lukins.
Westonzoyland bounced back from their cup semi- final defeat last week to beat Dulverton 3-1 with two goals from Ollie Ham and one from Jack Evett – Lewis Hough got the Dulverton goal.
Wyvern Rangers had a relatively comfortable afternoon, beating Hamilton Athletic 4-0, sharing the goals between Steve Cottey, Tom and James Melhuish and Pete Watts.
With runners-up The Gallery on cup duty it gave leaders Morganians the opportunity to open up a seven-point lead, which they took with a 2-1 victory over Alcombe Rovers Reserves.
Galmington Dragons beat Highbridge Town Reserves 7-2, and in Division 4 Tone Youth lost 2-1 to Woolavington and Norton Fitzwarren drew 2-2 with Nether Stowey Res.
North Petherton Res and Exmoor Rangers drew 1-1 with goals from Clinton Kneeshaw and Gary Barns from the respective clubs.
Sampford Blues Res lost at home 3-1 to Dulverton Town Res, for whom Brian Black, Anthony Vigus and Richard Fletcher all scored – Warren Toth replied for the Blues.
Staplegrove Colts beat Hamilton Athletic Foxes 2-1 to go top of the table, and Wiveliscombe, in third, closed the gap after their 9-4 victory over Morganians Res.
The biggest winners of the day were East Bower, who put an unlucky 13 past Norton Fitzwarren Reserves, both Josh Smith and Mike Watts getting hat tricks, Kaiih Knight and Dan Watts both getting a brace, and Jack Edwards, Tom Neal and Ash Warren adding one.
Creech Cougars scored five without reply from Bridgwater Wolves and Middlezoy Athletic had a 3-0 home win over Galmington Dragons Res.
