He will now tee it up in July alongside Club Professional Andrew March at Burnham & Berrow after his 40 point score headed the leaderboard on Sunday.
Wills just missed out but did have the consolation of carding two out of the three twos handed in on the day.
Third place went to Pete Dunn on 36 and Graham Exton who is slowly returning to fitness took 4th place also on 36 after another multiple countback took place.
Richard Triscott enjoyed a good day in the final Winter League Qualifier the previous day.
The long time leader of the table won the last event before the final to cement his top spot and gain the five bonus points on Finals Day next Saturday.
His 41 points led the way by two from the ‘in form’ Roger Vaughan with John Cullinan third on 36.
Triscott also scooped the Two's pot by scoring the only one of the day at the par three 17th.
John Sherwood was the crowned the Seniors Winter League Champion following the conclusion of the last event of the Winter series.
He produced many steady performances in the varying formats over the last few months and ended up with a winning total of 73 points.
He partnered Colin Roberts in the final Betterball Medal round and they ended up as the runners up on the day with a score of 66.
This was two behind the winners of Roger Phillips and Dai Wood who set the course alight with a storming front nine holes and they held on coming home to secure top spot.
Third place went to Seniors Captain Elect Bob Hurrell and Ken Ponter after their 68.
Experience told on Saturday as the Seniors defeated their opposition of the Main Club team at Brean.
In very close and competitive game they won by three games to two to give Captain Allen Fellingham victory in their first match of the season.
They will hope to carry that good form on when they face Wincanton Seniors at Taunton Vale in the first round of the Seniors Somerset Bowl on Monday.
