BRIDGWATER Cricket Club will be hoping for third time lucky as they make their third appearance in five years in the ECB National Indoor Championship Finals Day at the MCC Cricket Academy at Lords, on Sunday March 16.
The team, led by Andy Hallaran, have battled their way through the Taunton League, Somerset playoffs, County playoffs and the Regional Finals Day - where they beat Devon Champions Cornwood by four wickets with two overs to spare to progress to Lords.
In their regional semi-final, Bridgwater beat the 2010 national runners-up Poole Town CC by one wicket - with the scores equal, both teams having scored 79 but Bridgwater losing one wicket less.
Hallaran will be joined by other three finals day veterans in Josh Vickery and Ian Higgins, along with Stuart Butt and Chris Skidmore who will be on their second trip - with Ed Habberfield, Mitch Windsor and scorer Mike Moran, on his third visit completing the team.
hey will play London and East Champions Broadstairs CC in the second semi final at 12.45pm and will be very hopeful of making their first national final which is due to start at 2.45pm.
