Somerset County Shield quarter final
Burnham United under 16 5, Pen Mill Yeovil 0
BURNHAM made it through to the semi finals of the county cup with a convincing 5-0 win against Pen Mill.
Playing with the wind at their backs in the first half, Burnham were out of their blocks quickly with Podbury producing an in swinging corner to give Partridge a tap in.
There were several near misses by Burnham before Rosser scored a brace to make the score 3-0 at half time. Against the wind in the second half, the defence of Durrant, Costello and White had to be on their toes and defended well.
Burnham continued to dominate midfield with Partridge, Harding, kinder and Hughes all having fine games.
It was no surprise when two further goals followed, with Rosser scoring another two to bring his total to four for the afternoon.
Barrington and Sons joint men of the match, were Dan Rosser and Charlie Harding.
