THE Uxella Sunday League made a long-awaited return this weekend after the wet weather wiped out weeks of fixtures.
In Division 1, Grasshoppers cruised to a 5-2 victory over Pawlett Rebels, with two goals apiece from Nick Brown and Mattie Winter.
Paul Hooper added a fifth and Lewis Hembery and Simon Coombes netted for Pawlett.
Jody Bilton’s brace fired Blake Old Boys to a 4-3 win against Flag old Boys.
Chad Cambell and an own goal completed the scoring for the hosts, who climb to fifth.
In Group A of the Bill Brown Cup, Tiger Old Boys and Red Tile shared six goals in a 3-3 draw.
Aaron Head, Ryan Weston and Ian Bellinger scored for Tiger, while Craig Chant (2) and Scott Capel replied for Red Tile.
Grant Purchase scored twice for Middlezoy Amicus as they beat Ramblers 2-1 in Group A of the John Morrell Cup.
Highburn and Tiger Old Boys Reserves drew 2-2, with Ross Bowman and Thomas Briggs on the score sheet for Highburn. Lee Oparowski and Matt Washer netted for Tiger.
Cobblestones were 4-1 winners against Huntspill BPH thanks to goals from Ollie Ham (2), Jamie Merrick and Jed Williams – Toby Franklin scored a consolation for BPH.
ROF strengthened their position at the top of Group A with a 6-0 thrashing of bottom side North Petherton.
