AFTER two months without football Ilminster dusted off their boots and beat Yeovil 3rds 5-0 in the quarter-finals of the Somerset women's county cup.
Despite kicking uphill and against the wind Ilminster started brightly, moving the ball well. And they broke the deadlock through Dee Cracknell after some excellent work down the left wing.
Ilminster continued to push forward and were soon rewarded with a second goal when a Lesley Spearing cross deceived the keeper for Aimee Rowe to head home.
Ilminster relaxed in the second half, knowing the elements were in their favour.
And they carried on as they left off in the first half as Sarah Roxburgh produced a tidy finish, curling the ball around the keeper.
Ilminster then made it 4-0 through Emma Jennings who poked the ball home after a goalmouth scramble.
Ilminster finished off with a fifth goal late on. Cracknell again flew down the wing and crossed to Chelsea Board who made no mistake in smashing the ball home.
