THE final match of the V.E.S. Precision- sponsored league was held at Dillington Pond.

The pond fished really well and Bruce Hunt land top weight with an excellent 18lb 9oz from peg 18.

Hunt fished the whip and included two big chub and some good roach in his catch.

Jamie Rich was second with 17lb 10oz of quality roach and rudd from peg 16.

Third place went to Robin Cox with 11lb who he had some small tench and a perch of a pound and a half in his catch.

It was a tight finish in the league with both Rich and Pete Lonton on the same points.

But Rich took the verdict thanks to a superior overall weight. Graham Field finished third.

The next match is the pairs open on Sunday (March 2). The draw is at the Royal Oak between 8.30am and 9am.

Result: 1 Bruce Hunt (Tiverton) 18lb 9oz, 2 Jamie Rich (Against Men and Fish/Burt Baits) 17lb 10oz, 3 Robin Cox (Ilminster) 11lb.
