JAMIE Rich secured the Royal Oak Winter League in style by winning the final match with a lovely net of quality roach and rudd weighing 14lb 15oz from peg 13.

Rich fished the pole at ten metres with maggots and casters for his fourth win on the trot at Dillington Pond.

Justin Charles was second with 9lb 12oz from peg 20 and had some good perch along with roach and rudd.

Robin Cox was third with lots of small fish for 6lb 14oz from peg 19.

Rich said: “Ilminster Angling Club would like to thank Steve and Cindy at the Royal Oak for their continued support and sponsorship and Robin Cox for organising another excellent league.”

The next match is the final VES Precision round on Sunday. The draw is at the Royal Oak between 8.30am and 9am.

Result – 1 Jamie Rich (Against Men and Fish/Burt Baits) 14lb 15oz, 2 Justin Charles (Ilminster) 9lb 12oz, 3 Robin Cox (Ilminster) 6lb 14oz.

Final league positions – 1 Jamie Rich 10pts, 2 Robin Cox 13pts, 3 Bruce Hunt 15pts.
