KJ2 Bridgwater put on the first Instinct Fighting Championships on Saturday February 8, in front of a packed crowd.

This was a much anticipated show packed with local fighters, competing alongside teams who had travelled from Plymouth, Southampton, Reading Exeter and Bristol.

Wins for Bridgwater included KJ2's Tim Brigden, who won his title fight with a standing guillotine in only 29 seconds, earning him an area IFC belt.

The next win for Bridgwater was KJ2's Kamil Cekiera winning his MMA fight in round two by a rear naked choke.

After a short break, popular KJ2 fighter James Bawden took to the cage for MMA fight against Drew Dickens from Power House.

To a very lively crowd, James took the win after 1 minute 59 seconds with a guillotine choke.

Lewis Hodge of KJ2 was next up in a three round kickboxing match, with Hodge awarded the fight by unanimous decision.

In a fight between two local gyms, Will Thomas of KJ2 took on Paul Carrott of All or Nothing.

This fight went back and forth only ending in the third round with a referee stoppage, earning Carrott the win.

George Bailey took the next win for Bridgwater and KJ2 after a unanimous decision and leading on to the final fight of the night, with All or Nothing's Brett Hassett taking on Power House's Leroy Venn in Brett's first pro fight.

Brett proved his ability to step into pro ranks when he won after only 1 minute and 58 seconds with a rear naked choke.

The evening was a huge success and the first of many IFC events to come to Bridgwater.
