Weston & District League round-up: One game survives wet weather

ONLY one match survived in the Weston & District Saturday League programme, with Division 2 Clevedon Utd A causing an upset by beating leaders Draycott 4-1.
None of our teams were in action, so this weekend they will be hoping for a full programme for the first time this year.
Division 1 Berrow Reserves travel to Portishead Town A, who are level on points but Berrow have games in hand.
Burnham United A could do their Division 2 survival hopes a power of good if they can win at Nailsea United B.
The teams are among four fighting relegation and all within a point of each other.
In Division 3, Wedmore travel to second-placed AFC Nailsea looking for their second win of the season.
It’s a different story in Division 4 for King Alfred Sports Centre.
They sit handily placed in second and will be expecting to maintain there momentum at home to struggling Kewstoke Lions Reserves.
Unbeaten Berrow A face Banwell A in Division 6, while second placed Wedmore Reserves will be looking to keep up the pressure when they take on second-from-bottom AFC Nailsea Reserves at home.
THERE were no Uxella Sunday league games played this week as the weather wiped out the schedule for the third week running.
Cornhill’s John Morrell Cup game against Willow Green was postponed, as was the Geoff Harvey Cup Group A game between Cobblestones and North Petherton.
