ENMORE Church of England Primary School table tennis teams both had a successful weekend at the Zone Finals of the National Table Tennis Championships.
On Sunday January 19, the team travelled to Eggbuckland College, Plymouth.
The girls’ team (Molly Ison, Lizzy Creedy, Imogen Venner, Mya Hall and Hazel Young) tied with Bournemouth and beat Oakhampton, which meant they qualified first and go to Bristol for the Regional finals on February 23.
The Boys team (Robert Fieldhouse, Bertie Kelly, Josh Richards and Harry Woodman) beat Bosvigo, Truro and Stoke Gabriel and Totnes - but unfortunately they lost to Park School, Bournemouth.
Therefore the boys came runner up and go to Bournemouth on February 22 for the regional finals.
The coaches Mr. Coles and Mr. Bovett said all players competed extremely well and were a credit to the school.
