WAYNE Loveridge of Chard Road Runners finished sixth the the Hestercombe Humdinger over a very hilly 9.5 mile course.

This was the first race of the Somerset Series which Loveridge won last year.

Other runners taking part were Helen Baxter, Mel Bourder and Vicky Mussellwhite.

At the Blackmore Vale Lions half marathon there were personal bests for Addie Douglass, Gary Wheaton and Andy Mear. They were joined at the event by Neil Plumridge, Paul Masters, Richard Cave, Helen Sparks, Claire Gibbs and Kirsty Ball.

Clubmate Martin Holly recorded a personal best for 10k in the Eton Dorny at Windsor.
