MORGANIANS ran out narrow winners in Saturday’s friendly with North Petherton III at Beggars Brook.
Russell Potter opened the scoring for North Petherton when he broke through a number of tackles to score near the posts.
But Morganians surged back into the game and soon registered tries of their own, before Pethy struck again to bring the scores closer.
Morganians battled on and defended well to eventually snatch victory by just two points.
l In Somerset 2S, Bridgwater & Albion 3rds’ fixture at Hornets 3rds was one of the few to survive the weather, with the home side running out 19-15 winners.
l On Saturday, Albion 3rds visit Minehead Barbarians 2nds, while Morganians entertain Wiveliscombe 2nds
