TAUNTON Titans take to the road again today with another long, tough trip when they take on second placed Canterbury.

Taunton, who are still unbeaten at home, have had less success on their travels this season with only two wins away from home.

So this weekend will be a tall order for them – something that hasn’t gone un-noticed by forwards coach Chris Brown.

He said: “Canterbury are not aspiring to promotion without good reason.

“We are coming up to two thirds of the way through the season and they lie second – and so we must be at the top of our game.

“The match at Taunton was an excellent advert for the division with both teams attacking from the off. I expect this weekend to be no different.

“Canterbury will keen to make up for the disappointment they had at Hyde Park and we are keen to show it wasn’t an accident.

“Add to that the fact that both teams had encouraging performances on the weekend and it brews up for a cracker. We need to go to Canterbury and attack from the off.

“At away grounds you have to take the bull by the horns and we have the aim of being super positive in our approach.

“I feel that we have a number of players and units coming into good form.

“Our pack and back line interchanged well with treacherous conditions last weekend which bodes well. I am quietly confident that we can cause them some problems.

“That said, we are not naive; they also have the firepower to beat us and we will have to be at the top of our game.”

The Titans will need to make a few changes to last weekend’s squad with a few players unavailable.

Ollie Claxton, who started at scrum half last week, and Paul Davis, who came off the bench have both been picked for the England Universities squad and are away in Portugal for a game against the national team.

Also away is Luke Plummer but on the positive side stand-off Jamie Forrester returns from his home in Zimbabwe after going back for Christmas.
